Felix Gamez is a Honduran-born photographer based in New York City. His interest in the art of photography began at the School of Journalism at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Honduras in the late 80’s where he was exposed to the different film photography techniques of the time. Later he went on to learn digital photography and videography at Lehman College as well as The York Film Academy.
In his work series, he pushes the boundaries of double exposure techniques and portrait styles to transform his subjects into photographic sculptures providing them a new artistic visual identity.
His photography has been published on traveling magazines such as French Caribbean Experience and Martinique Travel Guides. Also, on the art book Mastering Realism by Lanny Markasky. Felix has also exhibited at the Bronx Museum, East Harlem International Art & Film Festival, The NY Film Academy Gallery as well as WallWorks New York in Mott Haven, Bronx.
